Revolutionary "new" excercises to replace introductions a our monthly NAWBO meeting!
We have replaced the introductions at the dinner meetings with networking exercises. Why? - We want our organization to grow and it cannot if we bog it down with a ritual that requires too much time - People do not do business with others just because they hear their name at a meeting - People do business with people that they know and trust - Marketing research shows that it is counterproductive to force - people to listen to others droning on - We want our members to be engaged with each other and get to know each other better - Dinner tables can be a place where each person can talk and be heard, even if they typically do not participate - Giving members a dinner topic discourages any cliquish behavior and encourages the inclusion of everyone
With What? At this month’s meeting we did an exciting exercise, provided by Amy Remmele With the help of a handout, we started working on our Defining and Branding Statements Click Here for the Handout Amy is hoping to continue this great new tradition in the fall and will want group networking ideas
